Artwork Description

des. This painting captures the joy of a biker riding through a vibrant and colourful natural landscape on a beautiful day. It celebrates the harmony between human activity and the serene energy of nature, showcasing how moments like these refresh the soul and awaken the senses.

Created using mixed media, the artwork combines plaster and acrylic paint to bring the scene to life with rich textures. The textured layers evoke the tactile essence of nature—the uneven trails, the rustling leaves, and the gentle undulations of the terrain. Each stroke and material choice reflects the vibrancy and dynamic interplay of colours found in the natural world.

This piece invites viewers to embrace the simple pleasures of life: the thrill of movement, the beauty of the outdoors, and the profound connection we share with the world around us. It’s a celebration of adventure, tranquillity, and the endless inspiration nature provi

Artist Bio

Pablo Picasso once said "every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up". This is a remarkable sentiment that resonates with my personal experience. In my journey towards adulthood, I had almost lost touch with my passion for art and had taken a prolonged hiatus from the world of colours and brushes. However, I recently rekindled my artistic pursuits and discovered the same joy and wonderment that I experienced as a child.

I vividly recall receiving my first box of oil colours and brushes at the age of nine, which initiated my self-taught journey as an artist. As someone who is captivated by the diversity and beauty of nature, it has become the predominant theme of my art. Living in Melbourne has only further deepened my appreciation for nature, and I often collect natural elements such as sun-dried leaves, foliage, twigs, and pebbles to incorporate into my mixed media paintings.

Although my time is limited as a mother of two and a professional architect, I am driven by the adage that "passion is the art of suffering for what you love." I am constantly exploring and experimenting with different media, including oil, pencil, oil pastels, acrylic, textile art, fabric colours, and most recently, resin and pyrography. I strongly believe that there is no end to learning and discovering new techniques and mediums in the world of art.
Since I came to know about Blue Thumb I knew it’s just the right place for showcasing my creation ! Undoubtedly, this platform presents a tremendous opportunity for creative minds to glean insights from one another's work and advance their own growth.
