Artwork Description

This painting is featuring a trio of paper boats drifting away in a shimmering lake. Luscious wild grasses frame the scene where vibrancy and tranquillity of nature are interwoven dramatically. In this chaotic world, our hearts are burdened with hustle and bustle of everyday life. No wonder we fail to appreciate the abundance of life lying all around us. Simply contemplating on something very ordinary, like the grasses running down to the water's edge or the lake mirroring the sky- can fill our souls with immense gratitude. This is the story behind this painting!
An original piece done by me for the landscape lovers.

All work are done in a smoke and pet free environment.

Premium quality professional grade canvas and professional grade acrylic paints have been used.

Colours may vary a bit on different monitors, rest assured it is more vibrant in person. Photographs are taken in natural light.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

Pablo Picasso once said "every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up". This is a remarkable sentiment that resonates with my personal experience. In my journey towards adulthood, I had almost lost touch with my passion for art and had taken a prolonged hiatus from the world of colours and brushes. However, I recently rekindled my artistic pursuits and discovered the same joy and wonderment that I experienced as a child.

I vividly recall receiving my first box of oil colours and brushes at the age of nine, which initiated my self-taught journey as an artist. As someone who is captivated by the diversity and beauty of nature, it has become the predominant theme of my art. Living in Melbourne has only further deepened my appreciation for nature, and I often collect natural elements such as sun-dried leaves, foliage, twigs, and pebbles to incorporate into my mixed media paintings.

Although my time is limited as a mother of two and a professional architect, I am driven by the adage that "passion is the art of suffering for what you love." I am constantly exploring and experimenting with different media, including oil, pencil, oil pastels, acrylic, textile art, fabric colours, and most recently, resin and pyrography. I strongly believe that there is no end to learning and discovering new techniques and mediums in the world of art.
Since I came to know about Blue Thumb I knew it’s just the right place for showcasing my creation ! Undoubtedly, this platform presents a tremendous opportunity for creative minds to glean insights from one another's work and advance their own growth.
