This is a painting from my Parkland series. I adapted it from a sketch I made early one evening looking across the Brisbane river from the Queensland Art Gallery in 2005. Though this period of my life was very productive, I don't have many pieces from this time left. Most were sold, given away or painted over by me. I always liked this one for its spontaneous feel, with the city lights shimmering through the rain and reflecting from wet surfaces.
