One of my goals is to become more proficient at still life painting, including florals. With this painting, it wasn't the flowers that gave me the most difficulty, but the glass vase, which I wanted to demonstrate with minimal details. After many tries, I achieved exactly what I wanted: complex floral arrangement with a more simple glass vase. I adore the brushstrokes in this painting~ they're feathering and deliberate, and I see a great deal of improvement in my oil work in this one special painting.

This is oil paint on canvas board, which is thin enough to frame.

This painting will be sent flat packed.
