As I work on bettering my oil paintings, I've discovered that gouache is an amazing medium for the style I'm trying to achieve. Gouache is an opaque watercolour that dries with a beautiful matt finish, and the mix of blending and layering allows me to add as much or as little detail as I need. I've also added slight touches of oil pastels for a pop of colour.
This is one of a series, designed to fall between a more design and realistic style.
