I completed most of this painting in 2020, though I remember the painstaking hours it took me to get all the details completed on this small piece. You would be forgiven for thinking that smaller paintings would take less time than larger ones, but that's rarely the case in my experience!
In fact, it took so long that I had to set it aside and move on to other work, and it's only recently that I pulled it back out for the final touches.

I've been out of the world of detailed wildlife art for a while, so it was great to step back in, if only for a moment.

This would look great in a white frame with white matting.
