This painting is actually in gouache, which is an opaque watercolour medium that allows for these striking illustrative artworks. I'm diving into still life- a subject I've never spent much time on and one that I'm finding challenging so far. Lemons are a great for practice, especially as I rarely find reason to use the colour yellow. I think this would look brilliantly cheerful no matter where it ends up.
This would look great in a white frame with white matting.
