My wall_ by Lana Alsamir-Diamond_ a collection of 4 works on paper (also listed individually) curated by the artist to be hung together or separated and hung individually, the artist has always loved the dialogue that 2 of her works can have in the space, and loves the concept of hanging smaller works together, rather than a large work, also the freedom of moving the works around which rings true to her ethos of "Treasure the work".

The works are a result of a continuous interest in themes of closeness, these works have a bold yet very calm presence.
"Moons are a constant in my work, if you have ever watched the moon as religiously as I do, you would know that the moon has so many faces, my fascination started when I used it as a constant presence in my more figurative works, and I slowly became fascinated by the shape and the possibilities it offered to my work, it grew from a representation of the moon to a recurring motif in my work" Lana says.

Acrylic, Acrylic gouache and Ink on hand made cotton paper, the paper colour is "natural" which is an off white, it sometimes photographs darker but it is a very light off white, please refer to paper sample in images.
Each artwork is 56x 76 cm, hung as displayed in images they are 112cm x 152 cm

A Sydney based Artist, made her way here via Product Design.

Alsamir-Diamond's work is graphic minimal yet bold, work that is very personal and reminiscent of the Artist’s life, packed with cultural influences and references.

Silhouettes and composition are the primary interest of the work, a sensitivity for negative space, creates the perfect ground work for colour, that is almost a distraction to the artist but a very welcome one.
"I feel my work is very intuitive and involves a fair amount of restraint, for that reason I sometimes find myself producing work that involves more figurative elements, it is almost an instinctive need to be in control, I love the dialogue that two of my pieces can have in the same space. "

Medium and process

Some works are on Paper and some are on Canvas, please inquire if you would like a work on different material.

The Artist uses Hand made 100% cotton rag paper, in natural colour with beautiful deckled edges.
Cotton papers are known for their purity, durability and permanence,

Lana Paints with Japanese ink, Gouache and only the finest Acrylic paints.

Works on paper are on Natural coloured Paper, the colour is a very light off White, it may sometimes photograph at different shades.

Works on Canvas are on cotton canvas, in White or off white. This may photograph at a different shade sometimes.

The Artist endeavour to ship purchased artworks promptly, works may take up to 1 week to leave the Artist's Studio.
