This artwork is part of a series that explores the undoing of the forms in Lana's work, the forms and compositions that are a result of a continuous interest in themes of closeness, a minimal abstract.

My monochrome works are extremely minimal yet have a strong presence, I could live surrounded by these works forever and never tire of their presence. They look better together, hung side by side.

Moons are a constant in the artist's work, "if you have ever watched the moon as religiously as I do, you would know that the moon has so many faces, my fascination started when I used it as a constant presence in my more figurative works, and I slowly became fascinated by the shape and the possibilities it offered to my work, it grew from a representation of the moon to a recurring motif" the artist says.

Beautiful Arches are present here, they are the artist's Architectural element of choice.

This artwork consists of 2 paintings, each is 1m x 1m, hung side by side they are 2m wide.
This is the minimum, of course they can be hung further apart to cover a larger space, it is recommended to hang them with a gap in between.

Alsamir-Diamond's work is graphic minimal yet bold, work that is very personal and reminiscent of the Artist’s life, packed with cultural influences and references.

Silhouettes and composition are the primary interest of the work, a sensitivity for negative space, creates the perfect ground work for colour, that is almost a distraction to the artist but a very welcome one.
"I feel my work is very intuitive and involves a fair amount of restraint, for that reason I sometimes find myself producing work that involves more figurative elements, it is almost an instinctive need to be in control, I love the dialogue that two of my pieces can have in the same space. "

Medium and process

Some works are on Paper and some are on Canvas, please inquire if you would like a work on different material.

The Artist uses Hand made 100% cotton rag paper, in natural colour with beautiful deckled edges.
Cotton papers are known for their purity, durability and permanence,

Lana Paints with Japanese ink, Gouache and only the finest Acrylic paints.

Works on paper are on Natural coloured Paper, the colour is a very light off White, it may sometimes photograph at different shades.

Works on Canvas are on cotton canvas, in White or off white. This may photograph at a different shade sometimes.

The Artist endeavour to ship purchased artworks promptly, works may take up to 1 week to leave the Artist's Studio.
