Folded into Light is an exploration of landscape through rhythm, colour, and memory. Built from thousands of flowing hand-painted lines, the work transforms mountain forms into a tapestry of movement, where peaks and valleys seem to emerge and dissolve within layers of luminous coral, rose, and crimson tones.

Inspired by the way light softens and reshapes the natural world, the painting moves beyond a literal depiction of place, instead capturing the feeling of standing before an expansive landscape and watching it shift with changing light. The repetitive line work creates a meditative surface, inviting the viewer to slow down and discover new contours and pathways with each glance.

My love for art is something I believe I was born with.

Lana Zueva is a Gold Coast–based contemporary artist known for her emotive figurative and portrait paintings. Working primarily in oil on canvas and wood, she creates modern artworks that capture quiet moments, human connection, and subtle expression.
