Secrets of the forest

“Secrets of the Forest” is a work built on a system of symbols that interact as a unified whole. At its core are twelve hummingbirds, representing lightness, joy of life, and the ability to notice beauty in the smallest details. These birds are associated with resilience and inner freedom, and this sense is subtly transmitted through the composition. The number twelve reinforces the feeling of completeness and harmony — like a natural cycle where everything exists in balance.

The acacia branches form the structural foundation of the piece, symbolizing stability, renewal, and inner wisdom. They do not simply shape the composition, but create a sense of grounding and quiet order. Light filtering through the branches adds warmth and a soft glow, enhancing the atmosphere of calm and natural harmony.

I am Larisa Ruy — a contemporary artist creating my own visual language.
My path did not begin with academies, but with deep inner research. I have never followed trends. Instead, I created my own technique by combining oil painting, bas-relief, gold leaf, and texture into one symbolic form.
