Childhood is forever more distant,
increasingly less perceivable, and we are all still trying to recognise it in our ever-so-less real past. Nostalgia sets in, and
the reality of emotions and their often painful indignities vanish in the fog of less and less successful attempts to
remember them. Toys we encounter bring something back, but even real toys themselves are physically
disappearing, vanishing from our cultures, just like this falling apart old pedal horse. I used to have one just like this one.
