I am an award-winning artist working in both digital and traditional media including watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pencil, ink and photography ​with a lifetime passion for creating art.
I am also a filmmaker and screenwriter.
My art usually comes directly from imagination, from experimentation with form and colour and the muse of lived experience and influences. Often a work will grow organically in the creation from a central idea, spontaneous, unplanned and unbidden. When I do create from reference, the original reference is always transformed to be painterly and almost entirely obscured from the original reference in the process.
