Artwork Description

This painting started with a simple idea: a private moment in a busy city.
The apartment interior reflects a mid-century inspired space, filled with warm colour, plants, and furniture that feels lived in rather than staged. The open balcony frames the Danube and the rows of city buildings across the water, hinting at the life and movement beyond the room.
But the real subject is the contrast between city energy and personal quiet.
Inside the apartment everything slows down: sunlight spills across the floor, plants sit peacefully in the corner, and the furniture invites you to sit for a while. The colours are intentionally warm and playful to create the feeling of a sunny afternoon refuge above the city.
It’s essentially about that perfect urban luxury:
being close to everything, but not having to deal with it right now.

Artist Bio

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile.

My journey into art began in 2019, during a time when the world slowed down and many of us had a chance to reflect on what truly matters. For me, it all started with a simple book that encouraged drawing and painting from observation. What began as an experiment quickly turned into a passion. I started with charcoal and pencil sketches—portraits and still life—and soon found myself exploring acrylics and oils. The moment I picked up a brush, something clicked. Creating art became more than a hobby; it felt like a calling.

I’m a self-taught artist, with no formal training—just a deep curiosity and a drive to create. The only early artistic influence in my life was my grandmother, who began painting in her seventies as a way to cope with the loss of my young niece. Her story reminds me that it’s never too late to start something meaningful.

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, I moved to Australia as a teenager. My work is often shaped by both these cultures, and the places and people I’ve encountered along the way. I don’t follow a strict process or plan what to paint ahead of time. Inspiration strikes in a moment—whether it’s an urban landscape, a fleeting feeling, or a piece of modern design—and I follow that impulse straight to the canvas.

My style leans toward modern impressionism, and I’m constantly experimenting, letting curiosity guide me. I aim to create pieces that evoke a sense of beauty, calm, and reflection—offering a glimpse into the way I see the world, with a contemporary twist.

Thank you again for stopping by. I hope my work speaks to you in a way that words sometimes can’t.
