Artwork Description

Desert Room, 4pm is a modern impressionist interpretation of a mid-century interior, imagined as a quiet desert retreat where architecture and landscape exist in conversation. Warm timber beams draw the eye inward and downward, grounding the space, while natural light softens the clean ultramodern lines of the room. A classic mid-century sofa, record player, and scattered greenery introduce rhythm and lived-in ease, balancing structure with comfort.

The arid desert glimpsed beyond the glass contrasts gently with the cultivated calm inside, reinforcing the dialogue between nature and design. Painted with expressive yet controlled brushwork, this piece leans into warmth, nostalgia and spatial harmony — ideal for collectors drawn to mid-century modern design, architectural interiors, and contemporary desert-inspired art.

Perfect as a statement piece in living rooms, studios, or design-focused interiors.

Artist Bio

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile.

My journey into art began in 2019, during a time when the world slowed down and many of us had a chance to reflect on what truly matters. For me, it all started with a simple book that encouraged drawing and painting from observation. What began as an experiment quickly turned into a passion. I started with charcoal and pencil sketches—portraits and still life—and soon found myself exploring acrylics and oils. The moment I picked up a brush, something clicked. Creating art became more than a hobby; it felt like a calling.

I’m a self-taught artist, with no formal training—just a deep curiosity and a drive to create. The only early artistic influence in my life was my grandmother, who began painting in her seventies as a way to cope with the loss of my young niece. Her story reminds me that it’s never too late to start something meaningful.

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, I moved to Australia as a teenager. My work is often shaped by both these cultures, and the places and people I’ve encountered along the way. I don’t follow a strict process or plan what to paint ahead of time. Inspiration strikes in a moment—whether it’s an urban landscape, a fleeting feeling, or a piece of modern design—and I follow that impulse straight to the canvas.

My style leans toward modern impressionism, and I’m constantly experimenting, letting curiosity guide me. I aim to create pieces that evoke a sense of beauty, calm, and reflection—offering a glimpse into the way I see the world, with a contemporary twist.

Thank you again for stopping by. I hope my work speaks to you in a way that words sometimes can’t.
