Artist Bio

I'm an emerging artist creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are bold, bright and designed to harmonise with the space around them. My inspiration comes from the paint itself. I use the canvas as a space for automatic drawing where I can explore by pushing around the material until a compositional whole is discovered. Layering, stretching, weaving, and revealing, my work references the sprawling architectural and urban environment that surrounds me.

In my current silk series, I immerse myself in a dialogue between fluidity and intention when making delicate markings onto silk. The pieces have harmonious tones that breathe and shift with the light which creates an ethereal and dream-like quality. These artworks are aimed to add a meditative element to the space and evoke a sense of tranquillity.
