A tail as old as time

I was at my local dog beach and I saw a local man and his 17 year old staffy, we had a bit of a chat but a storm was coming in. I remember the wind was howling, the sky was menacing but I watched as he walked his dog towards the storm. I remember thinking what a beautiful display of love it was and painted this from memory.
