“GUARANÁ” is part of my ongoing series “Brasil com S”, where I transform everyday Brazilian symbols into the main characters of the composition.
For this piece, I wanted to explore the vibrant colours, warmth and visual nostalgia connected to Brazilian culture through the guaraná fruit and traditional tile patterns often found in old Brazilian homes, bars and kitchens.
The contrast between the bold yellow background and the detailed patterned tiles creates a playful balance between simplicity and ornamentation. Although the composition is graphic and clean, the textures and hand-painted layers bring warmth and depth to the work.
This artwork was created using acrylic paint on canvas board and finished with protective varnish.
Its strong colours and tropical atmosphere can brighten a space while adding a sense of warmth, culture and personality to the room.
