Laura Williams is an artist from south-west WA, now based in Melbourne. Her art practice explores different aspects of the natural environment and she creates work from her surroundings or memories of specific places. Laura graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007 and has exhibited throughout Australia including Hatched 2007: National Graduate Show, the 2014 Black Swan Heritage Prize, the 2017 Elaine Bermingham National Watercolour Prize for Landscape Painting, the Heysen Prize for Landscape, National Works on Paper exhibition and the York Botanic Art Prize. She also completed an artist residency at Studio Kura, Japan in 2017.
