“Early 2000s I used to love lazy afternoons in Fitzroy. Cruising from cafe to beer garden, catching up with everyone. This artwork reminds me of meeting friends at The Rainbow Hotel on Sunday afternoons, most of the crowd would have a parma and a few beers while watching a local band. I always liked that feeling of starting at lunchtime, being out for the afternoon and it seemed like a good amount of time, like the afternoon went forever. Everyone would head off from the Rainbow around 5pm or 6 and there was still the whole evening free before work on Monday”.
