Laureen has been a keen artist since her young years, trying her hand at drawing, line work, oils, pastels and current lyrics acrylics and watercolours.
Due to family and work commitments, painting has had times of being on the back burner, but even then opportunities arose to paint murals, design leaflets, create calligraphy, etc. in her recent years she has been compelled to paint more often, completing the occasional commission. There are always a range of paintings being developed at any one time these days. Over the years she has exhibited at various art shows and sold a number of artworks, including the Camberwell Art Show. Laureen is also a Primary teacher who gets to teach students art from time to time, and occasionally teaches adults.
Her painting style tends to lean towards realism, but has found that watercolours enable impressionistic styles to emerge. She is regularly reviewing her painting style to modify and upgrade her skills.
