Neon Monstera

I had a huge garden growing up and lots of open space living in rural Western Australia. I don't remember any house plants though - it's definitely something that I have come to love as an adult. I still have a big garden and I love the open space, but there is something about bringing lush green foliage inside that makes be happy. With house plants a bit of a staple in today's homes, I know I'm not the only one! This little painting is a nod to my favourite in our house, the Monstera, and a bit of fun giving it a fun neon vibe in homage to how the humble house plant can brighten things up!

Lauren Alcantara is an Australian artist based in the Yass Valley, New South Wales.
