Sunset Squall

This artwork portrays the setting sun off on the open sea horizon, stormy squalls are imminent. It sets a mood that not all is well, what once was a beautiful sunset on a clear night, is now a dark cold time, reminiscent of the era we are in.

Lauren is an emerging artist, focusing of acrylics and textural art.

Raised on North Stradbroke Island, and still a Redlands Coast local, Lauren is a lover of all things coastal, marine and outdoors, as such, her work takes inspiration from the colours in nature, shapes and contrasts of the natural environment. Trained in civil engineering, Lauren also brings elements and structure from the built environment into her work. She aims to bring the warmth and calm of the coast into every piece.
