Wildflower Daze

Imagine yourself carelessly wandering through a field of wildflowers, the breeze in your hair and the sun on your face, a sleepy daze of a hot summers afternoon, blurring your reality, where you and the world around you are at one. This artworks warms and takes you to that field, as you step you hear the crunch under your feet, birds off in the distance, laughter of children as they play hide and seek among the flowers.

This work is created by layering of colours, base of blues, speckled greens and nudes, yellow, pink and magenta heads of flowers, the whites of baby breath, or stems bring a movement to the colour, final layer of distinct magenta petals floating in the breeze.

Lauren is an emerging artist, focusing of acrylics and textural art.

Raised on North Stradbroke Island, and still a Redlands Coast local, Lauren is a lover of all things coastal, marine and outdoors, as such, her work takes inspiration from the colours in nature, shapes and contrasts of the natural environment. Trained in civil engineering, Lauren also brings elements and structure from the built environment into her work. She aims to bring the warmth and calm of the coast into every piece.
