Artwork Description

They’re ugly, they’re stupidly expensive, but by gosh they’re darn comfortable.
Croc On is a digitally created artwork using flat colours, sharp lines and overlapping transparent shapes and colours resulting in a vibrant, multi dimensional artwork.

I love creating pop art using subjects that are familiar to the everyday Australian, giving them the spotlight with vibrant colours and witty humour.

This is a single edition digital artwork that will be printed on museum grade paper using archival inks that are full of depth and colour. I never reprint my works, so this will be your design only. There will be an additional white border added to the print where I will sign my name - this can be included in or covered by the frame. This is an A2 size and is easily framed. Please contact me if you would like it in a larger size.

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Lauren M, and a big thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio.

I’m an artist from Toowoomba, Queensland and I’m a mother to two equally crazy and creative kids. I work part time as a support worker and love being a part of the disability community.

I work in both digital media and oil paint - such opposing mediums I know, but both serve a purpose to bring to life the artwork I create.

I am inspired by the modern Australian narrative, but it’s not usually the flora and fauna, as beautiful as it is. I am more interested in subjects that invoke a memory or emotion from my childhood.
I paint and create what captures my attention - these subjects are typically overlooked, childlike objects that invoke a memory or emotion. These subjects are expressed in the pop art genre, where I can inject humour and a bright colour pallette, although lately I am finding myself dabbling in the contemporary still
life genre.
