Bright Blossoms

'Bright Blossoms' is part of my Botanical Series. This series was a contemporary take on the experience of walking through a garden.

This work features a warm and bright palette which immediately evokes feelings of happiness, creativity and playfulness. There are bright pops of colour working in with more subdued tones and markings. There are also textured details - all of these features create a real interest to the viewer.

This work is finished with a beautiful dark wooden floating frame.

Hi everyone, I'm Lauren!

I started my art journey painting people and portraits. I have always been interested and intrigued by people, their personalities, their energy and their story. I have entered The Archibald Prize three times so far and hope to one day become a finalist.

Recently I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone of portraiture (albeit portraiture is extremely challenging!!) and have been experimenting with new subject matter including an 'Under The Sea' series and also a body of abstract work. Some of these works I will be sharing here on Bluethumb.

I feel so blessed to be immersed in art and I will keep creating for many years to come.
