Dancing Leaves

'Dancing Leaves' is part of my Botanical Series. This work was inspired by leaves that have broken off their trees and are floating and dancing in the wind.

The bold colours and texture in this work really create an immersive experience for the viewer.

Hi everyone, I'm Lauren!

I started my art journey painting people and portraits. I have always been interested and intrigued by people, their personalities, their energy and their story. I have entered The Archibald Prize three times so far and hope to one day become a finalist.

Recently I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone of portraiture (albeit portraiture is extremely challenging!!) and have been experimenting with new subject matter including an 'Under The Sea' series and also a body of abstract work. Some of these works I will be sharing here on Bluethumb.

I feel so blessed to be immersed in art and I will keep creating for many years to come.
