Golden Sunset

'Golden Sunset' is part of my Botanical Series. The series is inspired by walking through a garden and I have created a textured, contemporary experience of that.

This artwork reminds me of golden summer sunsets where the warm light shines down and provides comfort and calmness and reenergises those in its path.

This work can be complemented with another work from my Botanical Series if you are looking to cover more wall space.

The work is framed in a beautiful dark wood.

Hi everyone, I'm Lauren!

I started my art journey painting people and portraits. I have always been interested and intrigued by people, their personalities, their energy and their story. I have entered The Archibald Prize three times so far and hope to one day become a finalist.

Recently I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone of portraiture (albeit portraiture is extremely challenging!!) and have been experimenting with new subject matter including an 'Under The Sea' series and also a body of abstract work. Some of these works I will be sharing here on Bluethumb.

I feel so blessed to be immersed in art and I will keep creating for many years to come.
