Artwork Description

I watched in awe as the surfers wound their way through the waves, twisting and turning with amazing agility. Some disappeared beneath the waves, only to resurface moments later, as if they were part of an ancient dance. Every wave was an adventure for them, as if they had been pulled into a wave and were caught in its journey. I knew why I was so captivated by the surfers; it was the freedom of the ocean. It allowed them to explore, to create a bond with nature, and to experience something that was unique to the ocean. Every wave was an opportunity for them to experience something new and to feel completely connected with their environment.

Artist Bio

I'm a passionate ocean addict, photographer, and drone pilot who lives on the shores of the Indian Ocean in South-Western Australia. I love capturing beautiful aerial shots with my drone which showcases the stunning beauty of the coastal areas in this part of the world. One of my life's ambitions is to travel to as many beaches and coastal locations as I can, not just to take photographs but also to appreciate and enjoy the journey along the way. I'm especially fond of taking pictures of breaking waves on sandy beaches and rocky coastlines; which often produces quite remarkable results. As a photographer, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to explore the ocean, its beaches and coasts, for their mesmerising beauty. My passion for taking such pictures has only grown stronger over time, and I'm sure it will continue to do so. Life isn’t as much about the destination, but the journey we take to get there.
