Artwork Description

The ocean has been a dreamscape for me, ever since I was a child. It has become a part of my life and its lifeforce, Vinyasa, is the ebb and flow that defines it. The waves are her brushstrokes, painting vivid images and creating a spectacular view of nature's art. Every day when I look out over the ocean, I am filled with awe and appreciation for mother nature's talent. I have come to recognise that we cannot create pictures or paintings from the sky like she can. Her movements are so fluid and powerful, pushing and pulling like no other force on earth. The ocean's vastness and power humbles me every time as I realise there is something much greater than us. Vinyasa and the ocean have become a metaphor for life in my mind. The ever-changing tide reminds me that everything in life is constantly shifting and to remain flexible despite the unknowns. My appreciation for the beauty of the ocean runs deep and its power inspires me to continue living with grace. No matter what my days may bring, I know there is always something divine just beyond the horizon.

Artist Bio

I'm a passionate ocean addict, photographer, and drone pilot who lives on the shores of the Indian Ocean in South-Western Australia. I love capturing beautiful aerial shots with my drone which showcases the stunning beauty of the coastal areas in this part of the world. One of my life's ambitions is to travel to as many beaches and coastal locations as I can, not just to take photographs but also to appreciate and enjoy the journey along the way. I'm especially fond of taking pictures of breaking waves on sandy beaches and rocky coastlines; which often produces quite remarkable results. As a photographer, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to explore the ocean, its beaches and coasts, for their mesmerising beauty. My passion for taking such pictures has only grown stronger over time, and I'm sure it will continue to do so. Life isn’t as much about the destination, but the journey we take to get there.
