Autumn Breeze is an oversized statement artwork o floral/ tree motifs in soft opaque washes of paint that build to create depth.

There are highlights of metallic copper as detailed in the numerous closeups. The metallic copper is in 2 different shades and will change depending on the light source and angle of the viewer.

It ships rolled in a tube.

The full size of the artwork is 221 x 181cm and is painted to the edge - allowing for an ample wrap around a canvas stretcher. There is no white/messy unfinished edge just the continuation of the artwork.

This artwork measures 210 x 170cm when stretched or 213 x 173cm when framed.

The colours are black, ochre, tan, terracotta, creamy beige, dark green, light green, olive, black, 2 shades of copper- one is more a light penny copper and the other a true copper, and white.

Artist Bio

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
