This artwork is part of the Banksia series, depicting the Banksia seed pods and trees in an abstract, monochrome palette.
This artwork is painted in a rich cobalt blue paint, white and soft pale blue pearlised paint and a soft green/blue aqua pearlised paint . There is a soft shimmer in the pearlised paint with works beautifully with the gold leaf. There is also small areas of collage in a white transparent paper that adds interest when the painting is viewed close up.
