Artwork Description

Copper Dove Grey is a huge study of native flora set against a marbled background of creamy beige and off white.
This artwork ships in a roll - for a frame similar to the room setting please select the natural oak framing from the "optional framing".

Using a deep dark brown, ochre, black, highlights of metallic copper leaf and a deep burnished copper-red paint as well as shades of blue grey and dark grey, cream and soft beige this abstract is perfect for a large wall.

The metallic copper highlights the entire artwork and will change depending on the light and angle of the viewer.

The final stretched size will be approx. 280cm long and138 cm high as shown in the "room" and framed option - framing will add a 2cm edge. around the whole artwork. the framed artwork would be 284cm x 142cm.

Artist Bio

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
