The winter is stark in the Australian landscape - where the gum trees reach for the blue sky under a blanket of snow.
The colors used are a light grey, grey blues, off white, a bit of beige, dark navy blue, charcoal black and a deep ultramarine blue. The acrylic has been layered on in broad brushworks with charcoal used to add depth.
Some of the branches are highlighted with silver leaf- the metal will change colour depending on the angle of the viewer from a bright silver to a gunmetal.
