Artwork Description

This diptych is inspired by the black sands of Iceland on a grey cloudy morning.

The river snaked silver into the cold sea. The colours are muted in a classic palette of glossy ebony black, a flat matte charcoal back, soft greys, crisp white and metallic silver. The sky is a soft pearl with layers of off white.

Each artwork measures 116cm wide x 116 cm high, and the painting flows over the edge of the 3.5cm thick stretcher. It is ready to hang and with a gap of 10cm to 20cm between them the total length is about 240cm - 250cm.

Each artwork is signed on the edge and back of the painting.
