Hi!
I am a full time artist who is primarily known for my abstract landscapes and abstract wildflowers/florals. I have been selling my art since 2002 and over the years have sold thousands of artworks that can be found all over the world in homes and hotels including the Absolute Hotel Group in Ireland, Rendezvous Hotels in Australia and Protea Hotels South Africa.
My huge 150sq/m studio in Elsternwick is always busy with new artwork and I often have several artworks underway, of various sizes and mediums. I work with oil paints, acrylic, inks, glass, wood and fabrics to match the best medium to my inspiration. The result is a varied highly body of work ranging rom classic oil landscapes, large abstracts using metallic foil and collage and soft sensual nudes in watercolour and ink. My background in Textiles shows itself in my use of colours and texture.
I undertake a yearly Art Residency, to expand my network, meet International artists and paint art inspired by local landscapes - recently I have been to Iceland, Italy and Canada. My Mono series is based on Iceland( as well as other mountains). So my art can feel quite different when you look at several pieces. The best way I can explain it - is the light is different, the colours, shapes, weather all impact how I view a landscape/seascape or floral.
It's kind of like a giant postcard from me to you.
My primary inspiration is nature and the seasons, and this reflects not only in my subject matter but also in my colour palette.
I participate in several exhibitions and Art Fairs each year to showcase new bodies of work. My website has more details of current events.
Over the last 20 years I have worked with designers and architects to create art to fit a design brief. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel rooms.
I would love to help you create the prefect piece of art. I undertake commissions for residential and corporate projects and
