As a Middle Eastern Australian woman, I am interested in blending old cultural inspirations with new colour field abstraction. Hence, this work is part of a series that focuses on the play of colour, line, tone and shape on wooden tiles; a homage to Persian mosaic tiles on small wooden tiles.
