Artwork Description

As I walked along the port of Albany, Western Australia, I wondered how many boat owners actually have the time to take their boats out on the open water, and how many are too busy with the daily grind. Hence the title "One Powerball".

I find the practice of observing water craft, gently bobbing at the dock, to be so very relaxing. The navy, turquoise and white provide a gentleman's limited colour palette, while the subtle pink in the sky whispers a contented sigh as dusk approaches. Retire to the contentment of inner reflection.

Artist Bio

My artistic journey started in 2017 when a spiritual experience awakened my creativity. The following year I sold my first painting and from there I followed my heart! I am self-taught, refining my skills through free tutorials and TV shows (Bob Ross of course!) Over the past 5 years I have held a successful solo exhibition, had my work successfully auctioned off in two fundraisers, exhibited in various locations in Western Australia, and I now have my own website.

Currently I am a member of the Mill Art Group in Denmark, WA, and we exhibit three times per year on school holidays.

I paint a wide variety of themes and subjects, quite often just painting what I feel in the moment. For my realistic pieces, I tend to take inspiration from the surrounding landscapes, seascapes and forests of Denmark. Occasionally I am called to paint a contemporary piece with a theme or message behind it, quite often these ideas come to me in meditation.

I believe that each artwork holds its own energy, and I love thinking of people who have bought my work enjoying that energy in their home. I like to think that art is created for a specific person, as a catalyst for their soul awakening.

Please feel free to see more of my work on my website and facebook. I welcome all feedback!
