Using a blend of aerial and landscape painting I capture the world around me. Australia's Rockpools are unique and swimming is more than a hobby here, it is a way of life. The connection we have to the sea is a gift each day tempting you to immerse yourself.

My work 'Coogee Rockpool' investigates the boundaries of watercolour, playing with light and capturing the transparency of water. This painting depicts a fleeting moment in a sun drenched ocean swimming pool. Using small brushes to meticulously reproduce the shapes made by the reflections in the water, the different areas of transparency and the details and traces of the tiny droplets of water on the swimmers.
