Artwork Description

Budgies are small parrots with big personalities. With two pet budgies of my own, budgies are one of my favourite birds to draw. Here I have focused on his beautiful, colourful feather patterns.
Drawn with artist quality coloured pencils on hot pressed water colour paper.
I have drawn on A3 size paper but the drawing is done to fit the A4 size cut out of the supplied acid free mat board. Also supplied with a foam core backing board making this drawing easy to fit in to a standard A3 size frame, quickly ready to decorate your wall.

My name is Leanne and I live in Sydney. I have a special interest in birds, Australian birds in particular. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by a lot of birds in my own garden where I find a lot of my inspiration. While I did study visual arts at University and was able to explore many different mediums, my major at University was actually in metal work. Years after working in the jewellery industry I have returned to my love of creating two-dimensional art using coloured pencils and acrylic paints.
