Leanne has been a Cultural Arts teacher and program developer since 2012. Over these years this has taught her resilience and how to navigate conflicts that arise from a multi cultured bloodline. Art has given strength in understanding her identity along with helping those she has had a privilege to teach.
Leanne draws and paints landscape artworks in a western style and in a First Nations contemporary style. Being inspired by the Australian landscape, Leanne will sometimes write poetry to accompany these artworks and will self publish as books. Education has played a major role throughout her career which has enabled her to develop programs from these self published books. Leanne’s preference when designing programs is to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples holistic belief systems which are spiritually and intellectually connected to the land, sea, sky and waterways.
