Hi! We are Lee and Kim Appleby. We are husband and wife team in pursuit of depicting people, nature and landscapes in our art.
Lee is a self-taught artist from the UK, who has interests in realistic portraits of people and pets. His primary mediums are graphite and coloured pencils. Encouraged by Lee, and inspired by nature and travel experiences, Kim picked up her brush and started watercolour paintings of landscapes, flora, and fauna. While Kim's main medium is watercolour, she also enjoys painting in oil.
Creating art has always been something we derive pleasure from and constantly strive to create something that is beautiful. In the past, we have kept our art to ourselves as we are often our own worst critics. Now we have decided to put our efforts out there.
We will be featuring our artwork here as individual artists in this shared space but we hope to create something of a collaboration someday.
