This is another of my paintings inspired by street art. I really like the way graffiti artists can use single enigmatic words, often seemingly unconnected to the composition, in their work. This sort of art challenges the viewer not only to interpret the nature of the composition but the interpretation of the words themselves, and I really enjoy the opportunities it offers to use the "painted word."

N.B. We regard graffiti art as an important and exciting branch of artistic endeavour and a source of inspiration for our work. We hope to play our part in helping the art world to acknowledge its importance, and the paintings that contain street graffiti are often inspired by works we have seen from around the world. When we use elements of other artists' graffiti we make every reasonable effort to contact the original street artist, although for obvious reasons this is not always feasible.
