Swamp Song

There is not a lot of colour in this glowing sunset piece, so in that sense I was out of my usual comfort zone. However, the sparse pallet was perfect to capture the peaceful fading light over the estuary.
I love painting light on water and playing with the textural effects of light and shadow. The finished piece would suit a reading nook or study, or any room that needs a beautiful view.
