Whispers of Mossman Gorge is a visual meditation on the quiet power and layered beauty of Mossman Gorge, a place where water, stone, and forest speak in harmony. I was drawn to the interplay of colour and form—the cool blues and greens of the stream, the soft pinks and purples of the rocks, and the unexpected vibrancy of trees with violet trunks. These elements are not just aesthetic choices but emotional ones, reflecting the surreal calm and spiritual resonance I feel in this landscape. The curved branch reaching over the water serves as a bridge between worlds—between memory and presence, between the seen and the felt. In painting this scene, I wanted to evoke a sense of stillness that invites reflection, a moment suspended in time where nature holds space for healing and belonging. Mossman Gorge, for me, is not just a place—it is a feeling, a breath, a return.
