Artwork Description

The raw quality of bitumen is transformed by the addition of varnish where it acquires a warm‚ sepia tone. The bitumen remains rough in places‚ which contrasts the glamorous pose and smooth‚ rich blue. Application of paint is experimental and loose‚ drawing the viewer close to inspect the fluidity of the details.
