Artwork Description

This work appears completely abstract in real life, but when in the background of a photograph, the painted grid converges into a clearly recognisable skull. A skull has been photographed and been interpreted into 100 physical squares of colour which is then best reinterpreted as an image of a skull when it is seen in a photograph.
Some of the borders between the squares are softened to make it delicate and beautiful.
