This original painting on canvas features the elusive Australian Eastern Whip bird. These birds with their delightful ‘whip’ sounding call, will often be heard chiming in the early mornings. They hide in the eucalypt forest and scrub surrounding my art studio. Earthy tones have been used in this abstract painting to allow the bold outlines of the birds to shine through. The painting is full of interesting details, patterns and hidden gems and the more you look, the more you will find. ‘The Forest Is Calling’ would make a statement in any space and liven up the walls.
