The explosive bloom depicted in this work is a celebration of life and vibrance. Intentionally set in a darker and monocromatic tone, the technique gives the audience a change to reflect on the transienct nature of natural beauty.
The style suggests at the inevitable decay these flowers will go through while also giving an opportunity to observe them in form devoid of colour. Stripped to basics the striking forms are still beautiful, though different, giving light to darkness in their essence.
