It is the objective of Paradigm Shift to challenge the previously held assumptions surrounding landscape photography whereby forms lost through the orthodox approach are rediscovered β communicating what may have once been lost. The contemporary approach within this work, bounded by the unique medium of natural and urban Australian landscapes aims to broadcast the totality of beauty within the subjects, offering an insightful depiction into now unimpaired scenes.
Within my own work, I have employed a range of photographic techniques, utilising long exposure times and the physical motion of the camera to achieve an inclusive study of abstract landscape forms. This series was constructed while I was 18.
